G'day!! My name is Kay Hinnrichsen (nee WILSON) and I live in Western Australia, although I was born and bred in South Australia. Because of my father's occupation as a Bank Manager we lived in various towns around the state. However I have always felt that Barmera was my 'home town' in the Riverland district of South Australia. The majority of my schooling was at Barmera Primary and Glossop High School.
I trained at Royal Adelaide Hospital and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1970. I married Harold Robert MUSICKA in 1967. In 1969, Harry was killed in South Vietnam aged 23 years. In 1970 I came to Western Australia and married Daryl HINNRICHSEN the following year, 1971. I completed my midwifery training at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women in Perth in 1973. Since then I have worked in a variety of areas around the state due to Daryl's work as a police officer with the WA Police Force until 1985. During this time we have raised 4 children:
