PARENT PARTICIPATION

It is essential that parents become actively involved in the club. Without the support of the parents, it is impossible to provide a working program.

Assistance is required in many areas:

Swimming Program Duties

Committee Assistance Duties

When parents come with their children to TimeTrials on Friday nights, and are able to help with time keeping, marshalling or recording, they are permitted to enter the MARC complex free of charge. They are required to sign a register, explaining their role of office, as they enter at the main entry desk.

The clubrooms are open to all club members during any training session time. Parents are permitted to make themselves refreshments in the clubroom kitchen, for a small fee of 50c.

An alphabetical pigeonhole posting system has been provided, to enable any leaflets, notices or messages to be passed onto the members. They are located in the alcove of the office in the clubrooms.

As the program endeavours to provide benefit to the swimmers, it also provides information for the parents to best help their child in all aspects of sporting life. Information on nutrition and first aid follow in this booklet.
