Dermot Ryan describes the landing of the 25th April 1915 in a letter to his sister Kitty. Sadly he didn't return home as he died in France 2 years later. His twin brother Geoff and best friend Wally who were with him at Gallipoli did return to their families. Leslie Price writes from Cairo but dies shortly after at Gallipoli, but his letter and a photo survive. There are also the letters from our daughters who went teaching in the far north of Western Australia and our son who while serving in the Australian Army went where his country sent him. There are letters from family and friends in far off places overseas and other States of Australia. Our own "Sister Therese" who was a prisoner of the Japanese for nearly 3 years. Read her letters from these third world countries where she ministered to the poor and dying. Also the tales of our sailing pair - their letters, detailing their sailing odyssey which commenced in May 1993 and still on the high seas today, meet the people and visit some fabulous places through their eyes. Joy, sorrow, news and views are all to be found in these wonderful letters - I am grateful to the letter writers, who down the years will help us remember into the future the happenings of the wonderful 20th Century.
